Doppler Gear's President Jim Bregi elected to AGMA Board of Directors
Jim Bregi is currently serving a three year term (2009-2012) as a Director of the American Gear Manufacturers Association. Doppler Gear is honored to work in this organization which has served the gear industry since 1916. The AGMA is currently the Secretariat for ISO's Technical Committee 60 (Gears) which coordinates all ISO Standards development for the gear industry. Doppler Gear’s participation in the association is directly in line with its strategic objective of an informed and globally competitive gear producer.

   
Smithsonian and Doppler Gear

Doppler Gear recognized by The Smithsonian Institution
Doppler Gear Company was recognized by the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum for work producing the primary drive gear for the General Electric I-16 Turbojet Engine display. As a gear job shop, Doppler Gear was contacted by the curator of the Smithsonian to help realize this display for the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center at the Dulles International Airport. The gearing application provided motion to the internal cut-away of the display. click for full story
